Mudhif ar-Rasul (Host of the Prophet in Madinah) • رضي الله عنه
Honored above all residents of Yathrib when the Prophet's she-camel Qaswa knelt outside his house upon arrival in Madinah, granting him the privilege of hosting the Prophet ﷺ for seven months. Fought in every military campaign from Badr until his elderly martyrdom beneath the towering walls of Constantinople.
“When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah, the people vied for the honor of hosting him, but he said: 'Let the camel go, for it is guided by Allah.' It knelt at the door of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari.”
