Al-Muhajir Dhu al-Hijratayn, Martyr of the Battle of Yamama • رضي الله عنه
Son of Utbah ibn Rabi'ah (the pagan chieftain slain at Badr) and brother of Hind. Embraced Islam early in Makkah, defying his aristocratic family. Adopted Salim as his son and freed him, exemplifying Islamic equality. Fought heroically at Badr and attained martyrdom alongside Salim embraced in battle at Yamama.
