The Melodious Voice of Dawud, Governor of Basra & Kufa • رضي الله عنه
Arrived in Madinah aboard a vessel from Yemen along with fifty of his kinsmen (the Ash'arites) around the Battle of Khaybar. Renowned for enchanting Qur'anic recitation, strategic governance, and upright judicial integrity. Appointed governor of Yemen by the Prophet ﷺ and later governor of Basra by Umar.

Embraced Islam in Makkah, returned to Yemen to spread the faith, then migrated to Madinah
