Prolific Hadith Transmitter, Mufti of Madinah • رضي الله عنه
Offered himself to fight at Uhud at age thirteen but was sent back due to his tender age; his father Malik ibn Sinan was martyred in that battle. He went on to participate in twelve military expeditions with the Prophet ﷺ and became one of the seven prolific hadith narrators (*Al-Mukthirun*) with 1,170 narrations.
“Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able, then with his tongue; and if he is not able, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of faith.'”
