One of the Ten Promised Paradise and designated by the Prophet ﷺ as 'Amin al-Ummah' (The Trustee of this Nation). A hero of Badr and Uhud, he was appointed supreme commander of the armies in Syria by Caliph Umar and liberated Damascus, Homs, and Jerusalem before succumbing to the Plague of Amwas.
