Protector of the Covenant & Custodian of Zamzam • رضي الله عنه
Paternal uncle of the Prophet ﷺ and custodian of the watering of the pilgrims (Siqayat al-Hajj). He attended the Second Pledge of Aqabah to ensure the Ansar's fidelity, accepted Islam, and his thunderous voice rallied the Muslim army at the crisis of Hunayn.

“Whenever there was a drought, Umar ibn al-Khattab would ask Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib to pray for rain, saying: 'O Allah, we used to invoke You through our Prophet and You would send rain; now we invoke You through our Prophet's uncle, so send us rain!' And they would receive rain.”
