The Fearless Warrior Whose Oaths Allah Fulfilled • رضي الله عنه
Brother of Anas ibn Malik whose courage was so fierce that Umar forbade commanders from placing him in charge of an army lest he lead them into overwhelming peril out of fearlessness. At the Battle of Yamama, he had his comrades catapult him over the high walls into Musaylimah's fortified 'Garden of Death' to fling open the gates.
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'How many a disheveled person with worn-out garments whom people disregard, if he were to swear an oath by Allah, Allah would surely fulfill it! Among them is Al-Bara ibn Malik.'”
