Leader of the Youths of Paradise & Peacemaker of the Ummah • رضي الله عنه
Elder grandson of the Prophet ﷺ, fifth Caliph of the Rashidun era for six months, and hailed as 'Rayhanat Rasulillah' (The sweet-scented blossom of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ). In 41 AH, he voluntarily relinquished the caliphate to unite the fractured Muslim nation in the Year of Unity ('Am al-Jama'ah).
“The Prophet ﷺ brought Al-Hasan to the pulpit and said: 'Indeed, this son of mine is a master (Sayyid), and perhaps through him Allah will reconcile two great factions of Muslims.'”
“The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn are the two leaders of the youth of the people of Paradise.'”
