Amir Fath al-Futooh (Commander of the Victory of Victories at Nihawand) • رضي الله عنه
Chieftain of Muzaynah who arrived in Madinah in 5 AH leading four hundred horsemen of his tribe to embrace Islam, creating an unprecedented wave of rejoicing. Appointed supreme commander by Caliph Umar at the Battle of Nihawand (the 'Victory of Victories' that dismantled the Sasanian Persian Empire), where he attained martyrdom after securing victory.
