Exemplar of Steadfast Faith against Tyranny • رضي الله عنها
The queen of Egypt who took baby Musa from the Nile and raised him with love. Despite Pharaoh's brutal tyranny, she embraced the monotheistic truth and preferred martyrdom and a home near Allah in Paradise over the kingdom of Egypt.
وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا امْرَأَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ابْنِ لِي عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِي مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِ وَنَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
“And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, 'My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people.'”
“The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Many men reached perfection, but among women none reached perfection except Mary the daughter of Imran and Asiyah the wife of Pharaoh.'”
