Nusaybah bint Ka'b (Umm 'Umarah)

One of only two women who pledged allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ at the Second Pledge of Aqabah. At the Battle of Uhud, when the Muslim archers abandoned their posts and enemies assaulted the Prophet ﷺ, she unsheathed her sword and shield, sustaining twelve severe wounds (including a deep sword strike to her shoulder) while defending the Prophet's life. Later fought at Yamama where she lost her arm.
