Ummi Ba'da Ummi (My Mother after My Mother), Woman of Paradise • رضي الله عنها
Cared for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from his infancy through his mother Aminah's passing and throughout his youth. The Prophet ﷺ famously honored her saying: 'Umm Ayman is my mother after my mother; she is the remaining member of my household.' Married Zayd ibn Harithah and gave birth to Usamah ibn Zayd. The Prophet ﷺ explicitly announced her as a woman of Paradise.
“Anas narrated: 'After the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr said to Umar: Let us go visit Umm Ayman as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit her. When they arrived, she wept. They said: What makes you weep? What is with Allah is better for the Messenger! She replied: I do not weep because I do not know that; rather I weep because Revelation from the heavens has ceased!' Thereupon both of them wept with her.”
