Prophet Dawud ﷺ arose as a courageous youth who slew the tyrant Jalut (Goliath) in battle under King Talut. Allah bestowed upon him both kingdom (mulk) and prophetic wisdom (hikmah). Endowed with a melodious voice, when he recited praise of Allah, the mountains and birds echoed alongside him. Allah softened iron in his hands, enabling him to craft flexible chain armor for soldiers without requiring flame. Renowned for his devotion, he fasted on alternating days and spent a third of each night in prayer.
