Prophet Harun ﷺ was granted prophethood as an answer to Musa's famous supplication: 'And appoint for me a minister from my family: Aaron, my brother; increase through him my strength and let him share my task' (Ta-Ha 20:29-32). Blessed with eloquence and gentle counsel, he accompanied Musa to Pharaoh's court. When Musa ascended Mount Sinai for forty nights, Harun was entrusted with leadership over Banu Isra'il, counseling them steadfastly against Samiri's golden calf idol.
