Hudﷺ

Prophet Hud ﷺ was an Arab prophet sent to the people of 'Ad, who dwelt in Al-Ahqaf (the curved sand dunes of southern Arabia). 'Ad were renowned for their immense physical stature and architectural marvels ('Iram of the pillars, the likes of which had never been created in the land'). When they became tyrannically haughty and persisted in polytheism, warning them that their power came solely from Allah, Hud was rejected. Allah sent a furious, freezing gale for seven nights and eight days that devastated the oppressors while Hud and the believers were delivered.
