Al-Masih, Ruhullah wa Kalimatuh (The Messiah, Spirit from Allah and His Word)
Islamic History Explorer represents historical dates, geography, and biographical details strictly according to authentic evidence. Dates marked as APPROXIMATE or UNKNOWN are left unforced to prevent artificial certainty.
“The historical year of Isa's birth has been reconstructed by various scholars between 6 BCE and 4 BCE, while Islamic scripture emphasizes his miraculous virgin birth without fixation on calendar systems.”
Prophet Isa ibn Maryam ﷺ (Jesus, son of Mary) holds a sublime station as one of the five Ulu al-Azm messengers and the Messiah (Al-Masih). Born miraculously to Maryam through the breath of the angel Jibril, he spoke in the cradle to defend his mother's honor: 'Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet' (Maryam 19:30). Empowered with divine permissions, he healed the blind and leper, brought the dead to life, and fashioned the shape of birds from clay that flew by Allah's leave. The Qur'an categorically refutes his crucifixion: 'They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but another was made to resemble him... Rather, Allah raised him to Himself' (An-Nisa 4:157-158).
