Islamic History Explorer represents historical dates, geography, and biographical details strictly according to authentic evidence. Dates marked as APPROXIMATE or UNKNOWN are left unforced to prevent artificial certainty.
Prophet Sulayman ﷺ inherited prophetic knowledge and kingly authority from Dawud. He supplicated Allah for a kingdom unlike any granted to anyone after him. Allah subjected the wind to his command, blowing smoothly at his direction, unlocked flowing springs of molten copper, and placed hosts of men, jinn, and birds under his disciplined command. Understanding the speech of birds and ants, he remained profoundly humble. Upon receiving reports from the hoopoe bird about the kingdom of Sheba (Saba) in Yemen worshipping the sun, he invited Queen Bilqis to monotheism, who submitted with him to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
