“The exact dynastic period (Hyksos vs. Middle Kingdom) during which Yusuf served in Egypt remains a subject of ongoing debate among Egyptologists and Islamic historians.”
Prophet Yusuf ﷺ was blessed with radiant physical beauty, prophetic dream interpretation, and supreme moral integrity. Envied by his older brothers, he was cast into a desert well, discovered by a caravan, and sold as a slave in Egypt to the Aziz. Falsely accused when refusing the advances of the Aziz's wife, he chose imprisonment over sin. After interpreting Pharaoh's dreams of seven fat and seven lean years, he was exonerated and appointed as chief custodian of Egypt's storehouses, leading the nation safely through famine and forgiving his repentant brothers.
